PK-Sim®

The comprehensive software tool for whole-body physiologically based pharmacokinetic modeling.

PK-Sim® is a unique software tool for whole-body physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling and simulation. In particular it allows the straight forward construction of highly specific PK models that may be used to summarize the existing data and to extract the most information out of the experimental results generated thus far. By comparison with experimental data the current mechanistic understanding can be tested and further hypothesis may be developed. A validated PK model allows the extrapolation from preclinical data to clinical study design and an easy incorporation of models into PK-Sim® add-on modules such as “Clearance Scaling” for children and “PK-Pop” for modeling of virtual populations.

After many years of in-house application, we introduced PK-Sim® to the market in 2003. Since then, the number of customers has grown continuously. Today, PK-Sim® and our related services have been established as leading edge solutions in the field of biological modeling, supporting users in several pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

Three PK-Sim® packages containing different sets of PK-Sim® modules are commercially available to accommodate the needs of research as well as preclinical and clinical development:

Customized packages, individual configuration of PK-Sim® modules and upgrades are available upon request.
